Karim built a track record as a worldwide operator and business leader in Europe, North America and Globally. Amongst others he led the turnaround of GE’s homeland protection business, which enabled its successful acquisition by Safran. He then moved to Symantec where he achieved accelerated growth and margin improvements and was a key lead to execute the $8B divestiture of the storage division. He later built and scaled Tesla’s worldwide customer and service business, reinventing the customer experience in automotive and achieving the best customer loyalty in the history of the industry. In 2018, he joined Lyft where he accelerated the growth of the rideshare business while building and scaling three new mobility businesses that contributed sizeable and profitable revenue in their first year. More recently he joined Softbank's Vision Fund as an Operating Partner where he contributes to portfolio companies as well as taking on advisory and board roles.
